Vic Maloney, Executive Director

Vic helped found Seacoast Youth Services, originally known as the Seacoast Diversion Program, in 2001. He has been involved in the community for over 30 years as a coach and as both Warden and Deacon at his church. Vic was inspired to create Seacoast Youth Services to create a place where youth and their families were provided the education and services that they needed to achieve their potential in an environment  that was safe, nurturing and non-judgmental. As Executive Director, Vic is responsible for setting the budget and directing the staff to provide the best possible services for the community.

Scott Bleakley, MSW, LICSW

Scott is the Student Assistance Counselor at Seabrook Middle School.  He is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who specializes in working with adolescents and providing substance use assessment and counseling.  He has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and families and formerly worked as a clinician on the Youth Services Unit of Hampstead Hospital.  Outside of SYS, Scott is maintaining an active psychotherapy private practice in downtown Exeter, NH and North Andover, MA.

Julie Golkowski, MA, PD, LCMHC

With over twenty-five years of clinical experience serving vulnerable youth and their families, Julie has offered solutions in multiple capacities. She has served as Principal Consultant in a national consulting company, Children's Director at a community mental health center, and Clinical Coordinator of a residential program for youth with histories of trauma, abuse, neglect, and juvenile justice involvement. Julie currently has a private clinical practice in Exeter, NH. Julie facilitates varous support groups for adolescents.

Barry Timmerman, LCMHC, MLADC

Barry has worked with adults, adolescents and children for 26+ years in a variety of settings including residential, outpatient, schools and community-based prevention and treatment programs.  He has provided assessment and counseling to clients of all ages with a wide range of emotional issues including ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, addictive disorders and co-occurring disorders.  Barry specializes in the assessment and individual/group treatment of adolescents through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement therapy and other evidence-based practices.  He forges connections with reluctant participants through patience and respect, combined with elements of mindfulness and unconditional positive regard.  Barry utilizes a strength-based, client-centered, humanistic approach to helping others develop healthier coping skills, regardless of thier age or resources.

Stephanie Wright, MSW

Stephanie became involved with SYS in 2006, starting as an intern, then being hired as Program Director of our after school and summer programs. Stephanie spent two and a half years implementing programs that fostered self-esteem, increased hope for the future and encouraged family involvement. Stephanie left SYS for a couple years to obtain a Masters in Social Work where she gained experience working with youth and families in a variety of therapeutic settings. Stephanie rejoined the SYS team in 2012 as an MSW. In 2013, she received training as a Project SUCCESS Counselor and provides substance use prevention and early intervention services in local middle schools. Her past experience with SYS, as well as the roles she played at a community mental health facility and a residential home for adolescent boys, will prove invaluable to our team as Stephanie brings her passion for youth and families.

Forrest E Carter Jr, M.Ed

SAZ Program Director

As the Program Director at Seacoast Youth Services and the Seabrook Adventure Zone (SAZ), Forrest provides and organizes positive youth development, academic, and experiential learning opportunities during after school time, evenings, and weekends. Forrest has been working with nonprofit and community organizations with youth and adolescents for the past 16 years and is a Master's Level Educator in Physical Education with a concentration in Adventure Education, emphasizing self-leadership, positive youth development, and experiential learning in his programming. Forrest provides direct leadership and hands-on education with youth and staff, is a certified American Red Cross 1st Aid/CPR/AED Instructor,  the NH Afterschool Ambassador through the Afterschool Alliance, and is a Workshop Trainer in the areas of Adventure Education, Curriculum Development, and Program Design through ACROSS NH.

Amber Kerby, M.S., LMFT

Amber earned her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and is licensed by the state of New Hampshire.  She and joined SYS in 2013 to provide counseling services to children, teens, adults, families, and couples.  These services include office-based therapy, Home-Based Therapy through court referral, multi-family support groups, adolescent support groups, and school-based counseling at Seabrook Elementary and Middle School.  She utilizes a strengths-based approach in order to support clients in their search for solutions.

Whitney Westhelle, LICSW
Whitney facilitates a number of support groups for Seacoast Youth Services.  She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of New Hampshire.  She holds an Independent License to practice Social Work in both New Hampshire and Massachuesetts.  Her experience has been with children, adolescents and their families providing strength-based, solution-focused therapy. She has worked in school settings, community mental health, outpatient, and inpatient psychiatric facilities.
