Vic Maloney, Executive Director
Vic helped found Seacoast Youth Services, originally known as the Seacoast Diversion Program, in 2001. He has been involved in the community for over 30 years as a coach and as both Warden and Deacon at his church. Vic was inspired to create Seacoast Youth Services to create a place where youth and their families were provided the education and services that they needed to achieve their potential in an environment that was safe, nurturing and non-judgmental. As Executive Director, Vic is responsible for setting the budget and directing the staff to provide the best possible services for the community.
Barry S. Timmerman, MLADC, LCMHC
Barry specializes in the assessment and individual/group treatment of adolescents through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement therapy and other evidence-based practices. Barry forges connections with reluctant participants through patience and respect, combined with elements of music and art therapy. Barry utilizes a strength-based, client-centered humanistic approach to helping others to develop healthier coping skills regardless of their age or resources. Barry is the coordinator of ASAP.
Forrest E Carter Jr, SYS/SAZ Program Director
As the Program Director at Seacoast Youth Services and the Seabrook Adventure Zone(SAZ), Forrest provides and organizes positive youth development activities during after school time, evenings, and weekends. Forrest has been working in the nonprofit sector with youth and adolescents for the past 12 years. He is completing his Masters in Humanities-Nonprofit Management and emphasizes self-leadership and development in his programming. Forrest provides direct leadership and hands-on education with youth. He is an active participant in the Lower Seacoast Youth and Family Coalition, encouraging family involvement in after school programming.
Scott Bleakley, MSW, LICSW
Scott has been the Student Assistance Counselor at Winnacunnet High School since 2006. He is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who specializes in working with adolescents and providing substance use assessment and counseling. He has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and families and formerly worked as a clinician on the Youth Services Unit of Hampstead Hospital. When Scott is not providing services at Winnacunnet, he is maintaining an active psychotherapy private practice in downtown Exeter, NH.
Julie Golkowski, MA, PD, LCMHC
With over twenty-five years of clinical experience serving vulnerable youth and their families, Julie has offered solutions in multiple capacities. She has served as Principal Consultant in a national consulting company, Children's Director at a community menatl health center and Clinical Coordinator of a residential program for youth with histories of trauma, abuse, neglect, and juvenile justice involvement. As an adjunct faculty member at UNH and Antioch University, she has trained and supervised graduate students in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Julie has been a statewide and national trainer/presenter at conferences covering topics in the fields of resilience, trauma, mentoring, post-traumatic stress disorder, suicide prevention and attachment theory. She has also trained and supervised clinicians in evidence based practices in children's mental health. Julie currently has a private clinical practice in Exeter, NH. Julie facilitates our parent support group and The Resiliency Project.
Cheryl Van Allen - Development Director
A Seacoast resident for over 15 years, Cheryl hails from the inner city neighborhoods in Boston. Having grown up in the projects, raised by a single mother of four, Cheryl is well aware of and sensitive to the needs and challenges of low income families. She comes to us after spending five years leading the local Habitat for Humanity, helping them grow their capacity to build homes with low income families by increasing awareness in the community and sustainability within the organization.
