School Based Programs

Seacoast Youth Services offers a wide and expanding range of services for schools.  The programs outlined below target both middle and high school students and are designed to help support students in the school setting.

High School Student Assistance Program – It is the shared vision of Seacoast Youth Services and Winnacunnet High School providing counselors to work with students who have violated the school’s substance policy.  We provide mental health services in the school that help support a school environment in which all students are emotionally prepared, ready to learn, and able to progress toward a productive adulthood.

Project Alert – This model drug prevention program teaches middle school students essential refusal skills and alternatives to drug involvement and other unhealthy behaviors.

School Based Mentoring – In this program, student interns are matched with middle school students to provide one-on-one “coaching” of life skills, decision-making, and healthy choices.

Boys and Girls Support Groups – We give students the opportunity to meet in a group setting to discuss gender-specific issues that all middle schoolers face.
