Who Is this for

Children, grades Kindergarten through 5th. Youth that currently struggle maintaining expectations for behavior and emotional regulation in the public-school setting.

Overview

A partnership with local schools to provide intensive interventions for elementary students that cannot maintain in their current school community. With the hope of keeping our young learners in their community, SYS will provide highly individualized interventions for students with significant academic, behavioral or social-emotional challenges utilizing their own curriculum and goals.

Objective

Stabilize students, promote connections to their community school, and improve long-term well-being for children and youth through emotional and behavioral regulation.

Approach

Direct instruction and intervention to support skill acquisition in mindfulness and coping and strategies for distress. Utilize student strengths to introduce new content for academic growth and promote growth in peer connection and relationship building. Support, guidance, and intervention to promote family stability to result in child well-being, and positive behavioral outcomes.
